Dear Parents:
We welcome you and your child to Pre-K 4. This is a very special time in your child’s life. What could be more fun than learning new things in Math, Language Arts, Music, Religion, Science, Art and Computer.
These are some of the things your child will be learning in
Pre-K 4:
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Introduction to the sounds of the letters, sight words and practice their handwriting.
Math:
Students will learn how to write, recognize and identify numbers 1-10. They will also identify basic shapes and colors.
SCIENCE:
Identify parts of the body, five senses, tools, food, seasons, animals, and community workers.
ART:
Coloring, cutting, pasting and learning nursery rhymes.
RULES:
1. Listen
2. Walk (Do Not Run)
3. Sit Down
4. Be Kind (Do Not Hit)
5. Work Quietly
6. Clean Up
CONSEQUENCES:
If student does not follow rules, he/she will be removed from the group.
REWARDS:
If student follows the rules he/she will receive a surprise at the end of the day.
HOMEWORK:
Students will practice sight words every day. They will also practice their handwriting by tracing their name, letters, or numbers.
GRADING:
Assessed orally one-to-one on letters, sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, name and age.
COMMUNICATION:
Verbal communication and written notes will be sent home with student.
